I am a Brooklyn based artist, primarily working in photography and video. This blog is for my project, “The Secret Life of Objects.” “The Secret Life of Objects” considers how objects are connected with our memories, our sense of self, and the process of letting go of possessions. Objects are anonymously sent to me, along with a personal story that describes the history and significance behind the objects. This blog is a way to share the objects/stories collected, relevant research and artworks, and to create a discourse about the secret lives of objects.
This project began as a collaboration with the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. Personal Organizers, who are members of ICD, worked with clients who gifted objects for use in the project.
